Considered the important prayer in Judaism, it is both an affirmation of faith and declaration of belief in one G-d. The entire Shema consists of daily prayers that commences with Shema Yisrael and comprises Deuteronomy 6:4-9, 11:13-21, and Numbers 15:37-41. This unusual bracelet has been finely engraved lines of the V’ahavta (Deuteronomy 6:5-9), the first portion of the prayer. The first two letters ayin E and Dalet D are enlarged in the first sentence, together forming the word eid, meaning witness, a testament to the sovereignty of G-d.
